From London’s Saint-Martin-in-the-Fields to Notre Dame in Paris, Europeans have long cherished the tradition of hearing fine classical music in a beautiful cathedral setting. Join the Pasadena Symphony on December 3rd as we ring in the holidays with an elegant Old-European style in a concert of holiday music amidst the architecturally exquisite and acoustically sonorous setting of All Saints Church across from Pasadena City Hall. Soprano Lisa Vroman joins an array of choruses in this festive concert of traditional holiday melodies performed by candlelight—an aural respite that is sure to summon the spirit of the season!

Pasadena POPS 2012 Season

The stars come out to play with Marvin Hamlisch and the Pasadena POPS in 2012, the POPs’ inaugural season as the resident orchestra of the Los Angeles Arboretum in Arcadia. Composer-Conductor Marvin Hamlisch is an iconic entertainer who brings his distinctive approach to the stage like no other. The Pasadena POPS season kicks off on June 16, 2012 with Lucie Arnaz and Robert Klein performing together in a unique concert version of Hamlisch’s Broadway musical They’re Playing Our Song. Under Hamlisch’s baton, the Pasadena POPS will continue to bring its audiencesAmbassador Auditorium the best and most entertaining talent from stage and screen in shows that celebrate the music they love to listen to.

Symphony Classics Series at the Ambassador Auditorium

Join the Pasadena Symphony for a season of Grammy award winners!  Experience the sound, the passion, and the brilliance of the Pasadena Symphony’s 2011/2012 Classics Series at the Ambassador Auditorium.  The series opens with Mei-Ann Chen, one of today’s foremost Maestras, conducting Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5.  This passionate season will also include Elgar’s Cello Concerto, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 “Eroica”, and Strauss’s Four Last Songs.
